Holiday Apartment In Javea, Costa Blanca

Your family holiday is probably the biggest thing in your year bar christmas holidays. So when booking a Javea holiday apartment you must get it right.

Dont be lazy in this approach. If you are just going to search the internet and find a local estate agent or an agent renting Javea holiday apartments then you may be asking for trouble. I suppose this may not be as widespread as it sounds when you search the forums and find that people have been ripped off. However you do find that when somebody has a bad experiance they want to shout it from the roof tops, but when they have had a lovely holiday they just go home all content and say, what a lovely holiday apartment we rented.

Them that have had a bad experience just start banging away on there keyboard hoping that half the world will stand up and listen. But all this could be avoided if they did a little bit of home work first. This website here Holiday Apartment is by the owner of the holiday apartment. He has done this site for information only.

On this site you will find information about Javea, The Port, The Old Town, The Pool and local beaches and what to expect from Javea. Its not a site when you can buy, book your holiday etc. He has taken the time to show you just what to expect from his apartment if you were to book. And the best way to do this is to put pictures up. Which is just what he has done. There are lots of lovely pictures. Look here to see the pictures Photos of Holiday Apartment He really has spent the time.

So the best way of finding your perfect holiday is to go on holiday lettings web site where you can search by country, region and city or town. Here you find the owners details then you contact them direct. That way you can have a chat and sort things out before you go.

I always like to get the keys before i go. That way i dont have to meet anybody when i get there so i’m not stressing about agents turning up or me being late.

5 Reasons for Ski Holidays in the French Ski Resort of Chamonix

5 Reasons for Ski Holidays in the French Ski Resort of Chamonix.

In our opinion at Azzure Holidays, Chamonix is one of the best ski resorts in France. Chamonix is famous for Mont Blanc and its huge off piste ski bowls but we want to tell you why its also a great place for everyone’s ski holidays!

The ski resort of Chamonix is a large town with skiing spread over 6 ski areas up and down the Chamonix Valley. Each ski area has its own characteristics and throughout your ski holiday in Chamonix you should try and explore as many of them as possible. So what are the key questions for skiing Chamonix …

1)   Is the snow any good?

Oh yeah! Chamonix is a snow sure resort and is open for longer than most other ski resorts in the French alps. The Chamonix ski resort doesn’t normally close until around 10th May each spring.  Most of the skiing in Chamonix is above 2,000m altitude so its high up allowing the long season

2)   What sort of skiing is there?

Well like we said Chamonix has 6 ski areas Les Houches, Brevent, Flegere, Aiguille du Midi, Grands Montets and Le Tour.

Les Houches and Le Tour are the best areas for easy family skiing in trees with many blue and red runs as well as some blacks.

Brevent, Flegere and Les Grands Montets are a little steeper and more suited to intermediate and advanced skiers. All of them have a lot of off piste  to explore and a range of intermediate and advanced pistes to get your teeth into.

L’Aiguille du Midi is an off piste only domain where it is essential you take a mountain guide. This area is famous for the Vallee Blanche, a 22km off piste ski run finishing on the Mer de Glace glacier.

3)   What is included on the lift pass?

Oh have you got a treat!! There are two lift passes in Chamonix the ‘Chamonix Le Pass’ and ‘Mont Blanc Unlimited’. The ‘Mont Blanc Unlimited’ pass gives you access to all 6 of the Chamonix ski areas as well as the ski resorts of Verbier and Courmayeur all included on one pass.

The ‘Chamonix Le Pass’ is cheaper and gives you access to Brevent, Flegere, Grands Montets and Le Tour.

4)   What is the transport in the ski resort like?

All skiers know what its like to hang around for ages waiting for the ski bus to arrive and Chamonix used to be bad for this. Well not now! As of last season the ski buses run up and down the valley every 15 minutes making the whole valley accessible no matter where you are staying.

If you have a ‘Mont Blanc Unlimited’ ski pass you can also get a free ski bus to Courmayeur so you can go skiing in Italy for the day. This needs to be reserved the night before.

5)   Ok so I want to go skiing in Chamonix but where can I stay?

There are a huge number of chalets, hotels and apartments in Chamonix that cater to all budgets from back packers hostels to 5 star chalets, so you won’t be short of somewhere to stay.

At Azzure Holidays we have a number of luxury ski apartments with swimming pools, saunas and hot tubs, as well as luxury 5 star ski chalets. You can find more information on accommodation from the Tourist Office.

See you know all the reasons to take a ski holiday in Chamonix – we’ll be seeing you on the slopes!
